Biografía


Michele Ciavotta was born in 1980.
On 30th April 2004 he took the Laurea degree in Computer Engineering at University " Politecnico di Bari" of Bari with the mark of 110/110 "cum laude".
The master thesis title was "Sequenziamento delle lavorazioni in sistemi seriali di produzione in presenza di setup: modeli ed algoritmi".
His supervisors were Prof. Carlo Meloni and Prof. David Naso.
On july 2004 he took the professional degree. On april the 7th 2008 he took his Ph. d. degree  in Computing and Automation Engineering at Roma Tre university of Rome. His tutor was Prof. Dario Pacciarelli. The ph. d. thesis title was "Metaheuristic algorithms for multi-objective scheduling problems". In december 2007 he joined the research group SOA (Sistemas de Optimización Aplicada) of ITI (Instituto Tecnológico de Informática) of Politechic University of Valencia. His main research stream deals with the multi-objective flow-shop scheduling problem.
