I graduated in Mathematics in 2001 at the University of Seville, where I obtained my PhD degree in 2007. I am Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia since October 2010, department of Applied Statistics and Operations Research, and Quality. During my academic career I have previously worked at the University of Seville and at the University of Zaragoza, both in Spain. Out of academia, I have worked as a researcher for a technology company in The Netherlands for 18 months within the European program Marie Curie. My research lines focus on game theory and transportation, with special interest in railway network design problems and line planning. I am author or co-author of several papers published in internationally recognized journals within the areas of operations research, transportation and applied mathematics, and I regularly attend several scientific conferences within my research areas of interest.
